Our Community Garden was established in the fall of 2008 with a cover crop planted on a newly-cleared, outdated blueberry field.   And it worked:)

The garden was largely given life by a local couple from Carolina Beach that wanted to create for themselves a large garden for commercial reasons; as well as assist the community with their knowledge of sustainability and organic practices.

Sadly, in the winter of 2012, Christin and Dave of Federal Point Farm moved on to another location.  We will miss them, and know they will do very well in the future.

We have  other farmers in the garden space, and Wade is a meticulous and super smart farmer guy.  He is amazing!  Wade knows what he's doing, and he is happy to share his knowledge with anyone.  Wade produces one of the finest gardens I have ever seen.

In 2011, the farm welcomed Al  to the farm, and he made it:)  Al is a landscaper and a farmer and was able to produce a year-round garden for himself and his family at Beach Road Farm.

2011 has seen many changes come to the farm and 2012 holds new experiences for us all.

We will miss everyone that has found a new path, and we WELCOME all the new farmers that we will come to know this year.
